Bugha’s Career
Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf was born on December 30, 2002, in Pennsylvania.
Giersdorf’s grandfather used to call him Bugha when he was younger, that’s why he chose Bugha as his ign.
Bugha grew up playing video games with his father and he was the one who introduced him to Fortnite when he told him about the “save the world” game mode.
Like any other father at first, Bugha’s father had doubts about his son’s video games passion and never thought that his son would be able to make his career in esports but after watching his son scrimmage with his friends online he realized how good his son actually was.
At first, Bugha started playing under Team No Clout, but on March 25, 2019, he signed with esports organization sentinels as a member of their Fortnite team. he qualified and attended the first-ever Fortnite world cup that took place on July 26-28, 2019. He competed for solos that took place on 28th, Giersdorf’s had to play 6 matches against the 99 contenders who were also qualified, and in the end, the one with the most points will be crowned champion. And in the end, Bugha had 59 points which were almost as double as the contender Psalm who had 33 points. And kyle was crowned first-ever Fortnite champion and took home prize money of $3 Million.
In July 2021, Epic Games gave Giersdorf in-game skin of his likeness as part of the Fortnite icon series.
