All New Exotic Armor: Destiny 2 Season of the Witch

All New Exotic Armor: Destiny 2 Season of the Witch

With the season of The Witch, Bungie has added three new exotic armor pieces to the game, one for each Titan, Warlock, and Hunter class.

The new exotics provide great perks and, in combination with the new aspects in the season of The Witch, can make your Guardian unstoppable in PVE and PVP scenarios.

I know you are dying to know more about the season of the Witch’s exotic armor and how you can acquire them. So, without further ado, let’s dive straight in.

Which New Exotic Armor Is Available in the Season of the Witch?

In the season of the Witch, Guardians have three new exotics:

  • Pyrogale Gaunlets for Titans
  • Briarbinds for Warlocks
  • Mothkeeper’s Wraps for Hunters.

All three new exotic armor pieces for the season of the Witch are Gauntlets with unique perks and debuffs.

How to Acquire the New Exotic Armor in the Season of the Witch?

There are multiple ways of acquiring the new seasonal exotic armor. However, for the sake of simplicity, I will split them into a traditional way of acquiring exotics in Destiny 2 and a quicker farm that guarantees an exotic on completion.

Vex Strike Force Public Event

Vex Strike Force Public Event

To acquire the Pyrogale Gaunlets for Titans, Briarbinds for Warlocks, and the Mothkeeper’s Wraps for Hunters, you will need to complete the Vex Strike Force public event on Nuemona.

To participate in the public event, you will need to head over to Neumona and travel to the Vex Incursion Zone location on the map near Zephyr Concourse.

The Vex Strike Force public event in quite rare and spawns only once every two hours, so you might need to eyeball the area during your playthrough to make sure you don’t miss the public event when it’s happening.

Completing the public event can get challenging if you are solo, so make sure to team up with your fellow Guardians when taking on the Vex.

If you want to be alerted every time the Vex Strike Force public event goes live, follow the @VexNetAssistant bot on X, formerly known as Twitter

You will receive a guaranteed exotic after completing the Vex Strike Force Public Event. That being said, if you haven’t completed your exotic collection of the previous Destiny 2 seasons, the reward from this event can also be a previous exotic item that you have yet to acquire.

Traditional Way of Acquring Seasonal Exotic Armor

The seasonal exotic Gauntlets can also be acquired through traditional methods such as opening exotic engrams, defeating powerful bosses, and completing end-game activities such as Raids, Dungeons, or Nightfall: Ordeal.

That being said, I won’t recommend grinding these methods just for the sake of acquiring seasonal exotic armor because the Vex Strike Force farm is much easier and can be done more quickly to achieve the same, if not better, result.

What Are the Perks of Season of the Witch’s Exotic Armor?

Each of the three exotic Gauntlets comes with unique perks that exemplify their respective class (Titan, Warlock, and Hunter). Bungie describes the perks of these seasonal exotic Gauntlets as follows;

Pyrogale Gauntlets – Titan

Pyrogale Gauntlets

Percussive Flames: “Modifies Burning Maul into a single high-damage slam of your hammer that creates five cyclones of flame. Consecration’s second slam creates a cyclone of flame.”

The Pyrogale Gauntlets are a nice addition to a Titan’s arsenal. Equipping this exotic creates flame tornadoes when the Titan’s Burning Maul super is cast. These flame tornadoes seek enemies and, upon impact, can dish out serious damage enough to break the shield of a Guardian in PVP.

Another use of Pyrogale Gauntlets is when a consecration melee is performed. The slam creates a cyclone of flame that deals massive damage in both PVP and PVE.

Briarbinds – Warlock

Briarbinds

One with the Void: “Your Void Souls have a longer duration. They also gain escalating damage and durability as they defeat targets. You can retrieve your Void Souls by interacting with them, allowing them to be redeployed”.

The Briarbinds on Warlock are pretty interesting. While you may not be rushing to take them into a Master Raid, they are fun to goof around with.

Additionally, this exotic can provide a lot of value in pieces of content like Legend Lost Sectors or Nightfalls.

Briarbinds allows the Warlock to collect their Void Souls after they have been deployed. Void Souls also become tankier and deal more damage as they kill enemies and have a longer duration than usual.

Mothkeeper’s Wraps – Hunter

Mothkeeper’s Wraps

Winged Eclipse: “Your grenade becomes a cage of loyal moths that release on impact and fly toward the nearest target or ally. If they reach a target, they detonate in a blinding explosion; if they reach an ally, the moths grant your ally a Void over shield”.

The Hunter’s Mothkeeper’s Wraps are the weakest entry on this list. While they deal a solid amount of damage, these Hunter gauntlets are not strong enough to warrant use over another Exotic.

Mothkeeper’s Wraps change your subclass’ Grenade into a ‘cage of loyal moths that release on impact and fly toward the nearest target or ally.

If they hit an enemy, they deal damage and blind them temporarily. Instead, if they hit an ally, they will provide them with a Void Overshield. This is a fun and incredibly unique feature but could be more powerful.

Conclusion

These were the three new exotic armor gauntlets that Bungie has added to Destiny 2 in the season of the Witch. Among the three, my favorite is the Titan’s Pyrogale Gauntlets because of its sheer destructive power. What is yours? Let me know in the comment section.

If you still need to acquire the season 22 exotic armor gauntlets, what are you waiting for? Grind the Vex Strike Force public event, and you should have these exotic gauntlets in your collection in no time.
